One of the best things you can add to your keys or zipper pull.

I have carried one of these for well over a decade. One of those items which you come to depend on. The short curved blade is handy and holds an edge. The only problem is that you come to depend on it. When you don't have it, you really need it.Early on, I was concerned that the knife would fall out of the sheath or the the sheath would become loose over time. Never happened. When I eventually lost it, it was my fault, not the design's. Was happy to see it on Amazon so I bought a few. One for me, a couple of spares, and a couple gifts for friends.Well worth the money.
As Good as Always

I am not a diver, but I have long loved these knives, but have not been able to find a replacement for several years after misplacing the knife several years ago. The aluminum D-ring is somewhat smaller, but the knurling on the closure is improved and gives a lot better grip for taking the knife on and off the ring, an unfortunate necessity these days when having to pass in and out of secure areas. I have not yet had much of a chance to use the blade in any exotic local or under adverse conditions, but it excels as an easily deployed blade for opening boxes and envelopes, which is, I suspect, the main job most of these knives have.
Nice to have around

I have had one of these keychain knives for more then 20 years. You can't imagine how many times you need a little knife, it's just so handy. When I saw these knives I had to buy some. They are great little gifts to have around the house for birthdays or just about anything. Everyone that gets them loves them.

Had one years ago. Nice little neck knife. This is as good as I remembered. If you are looking for a smaller than most knife of this type, this is it and at a great price.
Great find

My husband had this knife confiscated at the airport and was just sick about it since it had been a groomsman gift. He was so pleased to find a replacement and just loves it.
Good quality and value

Nice and small easily attached to a key ring. Very sharp blade. This would make nice stocking stuffers or gifts any time.
Dependable and perfect

I found this knife almost 15 years ago in the street. It was a bit scratched up, but I kept it. I have it on my keyring, so it's always close at hand. After 15 years, it still looks almost new, still keeps an edge (better than some of my expensive knives), and it's not much bigger than a lot of modern car keys. Also, no rust, even though I live in a rainforest.
Fancy little knife, but the hole for the clip cracked, so it might not be good to use on a keyring.

Very handy knife, easy to carry, and has held up for a long time. It's small enough that it fits in the little watch pocket on my jeans. The cover for the blade is very secure, and has never come off. It's pretty small, and I mainly use it to open packages, cut cord, etc. I don't know if I'd want to peel an apple or anything else very precise due to the small handle, though. One warning: the hole where the clip attaches cracked on mine early on. I had it on a keyring at the time, but not any more;,it still works as a pocket knife, but I can't really use it on my keyring any more.

I love this knife
Great tool available again!
- 12/18/2017
This is the perfect key chain tool. It's no longer than a key, and it's exactly the right length to open a box without slicing the contents. Extremely happy that it's once again available (after years, decades?). It appears to be as high quality as the original.
Just like back when.

Had one of these 30 years ago. Bought it for sentiment.
Bad ass gem
- 07/11/2018
This is the best keychain. It doesn't look like a knife and it's so well hidden. Super accessible and sharp, sharp, sharp. Being a single female out there, this is the perfect hidden gem for safety. It's compact and sits with your keys. No bulky pepper spray. No need to carry your pistol. No digging for ANYTHING. Just pop it off the key chain and BOOOOM!!! My dad tries to steal it all the time. Now I can give him his own. He can use this awesome little razor sharp slicer for just about anything. Gotta get this bad boy!
Even Better

This one is even better than the original that I have used for over 20 years. I has a great edge.
Still an excellent knife!

I have had my first Tekna key ring knife since the early eighties. I still carry it in my front left pocket. Recently I looked to see if they were still made and to my surprise there are! And, they have improved it. So, I bought two. One for me and one for my friend's son.I will retire the old one and break in the new one. I use it nearly every day for all kinds of tasks.
A must have

It was great
Great little knife

I am using this knife to cut gold leaf sheets out of the book. Recommend running the blade over a piece of glass a few times before first use. This helps takes the sharp edge down just a hair making it better for this purpose. This was taught to me by my art instructor 😉 Make sure you keep the cap handy for storage.
Nice little keychain knife

This is a sharp functional keychain knife, no fear of it coming out of the sheath in your pocket it seems to be secured well in the sheath.
Good product

Very easy to use, sharp. It replaced an earlier version I'd had for over 15 years. Old one still works kept both.
Disappointed! Made in USA ???? and this happens?
- 11/05/2020
I open the package and realize it?s made in USA and I feel pride and marvel how it can be $15 and I go to pull the sheath off and the blade comes right out of the handle with it. Disappointed. I can probably smear some JB Weld in the slit where the blade goes and fix it. Otherwise, the quality of the metal and the sheath and handle are nice. I saw this on wealljuggleknives channel and he said his needed a slight reprofile, but mine seems decent. Except the blade falling out thing. I could return it, but I think I will fix it myself.
Handy

Awesome small knife, it required some sharpening, but it is overall very compact and handy.
GREAT GIFT

GREAT GIFT
Owned since 1980s
- 03/01/2021
I have owned this wonderful keychain knife since the mid 1980s. I have used it on my keyring since high school and pretty much carried it every day since I got it. I highly recommend this knife.
Bought in early 1980's
- 10/17/2021
Bought mine 1982-83 I think. I love it dearly and the best description I have for it is "indestructible".
Great pocket knife
- 10/22/2021
I have had one of these for 20+ years. Unfortunately it came off my keychain and I lost it.Just got a new one. Fantastic!!!
Better Than Ever!
- 03/06/2022
The "new" version of the Extra Edge by Tekna is even better than the original. I’ve owned several of the 80’s versions over the years yet as they aged the blade could slip lose from the sheath. I kept those old ones in a drawer since I was concerned about losing the blades. Now Tekna has redesigned the Extra Edge with new material and a stiffer connection of the blade to the sheath. I plan to order several more to keep and give away as gifts to friends and family. They are incredibly practical and can hang on a keychain nicely or a lanyard. I also like that they make a screwdriver tip and there are so many more colors available too.

Had this knife for years and beat it up pretty bad and I was thrilled to find it again,it's a bit cheaper made now but I carry it every day and so far it works well, just have to make sure it clicks into the sheath but so far so good
