The perfect light for the kayak! slapped on the tail and off I went. No more fearing getting in after dark on a paddle or fooling with the head light.

Seems like a great light. We are using it for our motorized dinghy. It stays in place well and seems sturdy. I really like the waterproof aspect although we haven't put that to the test yet.

Perfect. Used for MR340 and worked very well. Use a little lube on the suction cup or it comes loose (mounted to composite boat).

This is a truly wonderful boat light design. It's very reliable, waterproof, and the suction cup is incredibly strong.

Worked perfectly. Stuck solid to the kayak for several hours. When mounted at the rear, it still provides enough light to help navigate around nearby objects.

Great little light. Very visible durable and a good value. My wife dropped it in the lake and it still works great, so I bought 2 of them.

I used this thing occasionally for several years. It sticks like glue on the smooth fiberglass deck of my recreational shell, but on my molded kayak I run a bungee around the hull for security. I like the light intensity too; it's not glaringly bright, but well visible from all directions. I haven't tested the water-tightness, but it seems as though it should be good. It switches on by rotating the lens section, which feels like it's pretty well sealed by O-rings, and leaves no penetrations in the housing like a switch would. Unfortunately I've lost it along with a bunch of rowing accessories, but I see they have a deluxe model now, which I'll buy to replace it. They say it's watertight to 3,000 feet, and it has a neat tie-down system.

this is a bright light for night kayaking. it suctions to the stern of the boat easily although it sometimes releases so i would recommend tying it to the rigging before putting it on the boat so it doesn't fall overboard. i'm very happy with the quality and ease of use.

So this is the second one I have bought. That alone should be enough review. The first one sank to the bottom of a 60' trench because I didn't exercise the "tie everything to the yak" rule. This is a GREAT light! Bright enough to provide ambient light to see a short distance. But more than bright enough to supply the 2-mile visibility required on the water. I took the suction cup off and shoved it in a PVC tube (can't remember the size - .75 maybe?) so it would be 36" above the water. Easy operation- twist on, twist off, right from my kayak seat. I definitely recommend this light, not only to satisfy the regulatory requirements, but also because it is a benefit to night fishing. ??????????

Super Bright. Suction Cup seems to be very secure. My boat is not entirely smooth in this location and still stays secure. Have paddled a couple times with this attached (in the day) and it has never come loose. Well worth the money!

Just what I was looking for. Need to find a smooth surface for the suction to work. The battery contacts can sometimes not make great contact, which causes the chamber to overheat, so recommend checking before using & store without batteries in the chamber.

Great light

I bought this light for my 8'x16' solar powered quadmaran in case I get stuck out in the bay after dark. It sticks to my glass solar panel all day long and the light is bright and waterproof, which is important on such a small boat that goes out onto the ocean.

It came exactly as was told. Will be put on my kayak for night fishing. This light is a quality product for a reasonable price. Would recommend!!

This light is sufficiently bright to keep you visible during an evening paddle. The suction worked well on my kaya,k, but you should know it's a very smooth composit material, not a poly molded hull, so that might make a difference. There is a short leash to attach to your stern bungees. I only used it once so far and it did not get dunked in water, so I have no idea how it would handle a dunking.

I want you to know how much I enjoyed and appreciated this fantastic paddle board light, for the full 5 minutes it stayed on my board before I whacked it into the lake. Ignoring the instructions to attach cord to board, I excitedly went out at 10 pm into a star filled night, beautifully reflected by the water.When the torch hit the water, I was sure it would float. And as it slowly began to descend, I was sure it would bob back up. You can imagine my disappointment as I watched it sink to the bottom of the lake, beacon brightly shining like the stern of the titanic. After one futile attempt to dive deep enough to retrieve, which entailed stripping my mom-bod down to its skivvies, I had to accept that the light was no longer mine. I have ordered another, but I might suggest you follow the instructions and attach the cord to your board.Otherwise, this is a great product. PS: the light is still on!!

I use this light for evening/night paddling both a kayak and a paddleboard. It is easy to attach (you must have a smooth surface for it to work) and it provides a lot of light (which is important on a high-weekend-traffic river). I like the lanyard which was useful the one time when the light came loose from my SUP. It also is nice that I can easy mount it on either my kayak or SUP. Because it needs a smooth surface for the suction, I'm not sure it if it will work with an inflatable.

Suction cup works great surprisingly, but the safety loop is amazing. Great light and very reliable.

Super bright and essential for night kayaking! I keep it in the stern of my boat for visibility and haven't had any problems at all with it. Have recommended to a few of my kayaking friends also!
